No Fine Print.
The questions we hear most often about pricing, timelines, ownership, and support — answered honestly, upfront, before you ever have to ask.
How much does a website cost?
Business websites start at $500 for a small 5-page site and scale up based on page count, custom features, and complexity. Web applications with logins, databases, or custom functionality start at $3,500. Every project gets a free consultation and an exact quote before any work begins, so you always know the real number before committing. See the full pricing breakdown for details on every tier.
Why not just build my own website with Wix, Squarespace, or a template?
Template builders are a reasonable starting point for some businesses, but they come with real tradeoffs: you don't own the underlying code, you're limited to their design system, and your site's speed and SEO ceiling are capped by their platform, not by what's actually possible. A custom-built site is code you own outright, built specifically around your SEO, your speed, and your brand, without competing against thousands of other businesses using the same layout. If your website is meant to bring in real business, the difference shows up in search rankings, load speed, and how much you can actually customize as you grow.
How long does it take to build a website?
A small business website typically takes 2 to 4 weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger custom sites or web applications can take 6 to 12 weeks depending on scope. Timelines are always confirmed upfront during the free consultation, based on your specific project — never a vague estimate.
Do I own my website after it is built?
Yes. Once a project is paid in full, you own the website outright, including the code and design. If you enroll in a Care Plan under the Switch & Grow program, ownership terms are disclosed upfront before you ever sign, and you can buy out full ownership at any time at a price agreed in advance.
What is included in a Care Plan?
Care Plans include hosting, ongoing SEO maintenance, Google Business Profile management, uptime monitoring, monthly content updates, and support. Plans start at $89 per month for Foundation, with Growth and Partner tiers adding more frequent updates, priority support, and performance reporting.
Do I need a Care Plan, or can I maintain the site myself?
A Care Plan is optional. If you already own your site and prefer to manage it yourself, that is completely fine. Care Plans exist for business owners who would rather focus on running their business than manage hosting, security updates, and SEO maintenance themselves.
Can you redesign or rebuild an existing website?
Yes. Through the Switch & Grow program, an existing website can be rebuilt for $0 down by enrolling in a Care Plan with a minimum term to cover the build. After that term, you can continue month-to-month, downgrade to lighter support, or buy out full ownership at a price disclosed before you ever sign.
Do you only work with local businesses, or can you work with businesses anywhere?
We work with small businesses nationwide, not just locally. Anchor Digital is based in Tampa, Florida, but all communication, consultations, and project management are handled remotely and effectively, regardless of where your business is located.
What is the difference between a website and a web application?
A website presents information, such as services, pricing, and contact details, to visitors. A web application involves interactive functionality, such as user logins, databases, dashboards, or custom business logic. Websites are priced by scope and page count, while web applications are priced by functionality and complexity, since a web application is a different kind of project entirely.
Do you build mobile apps for iOS and Android?
Yes. We build cross-platform mobile apps using React and Capacitor, deployed natively to both the App Store and Google Play from a single codebase. This includes real device features like push notifications, camera access, and offline support, plus full submission to both app stores. Pricing starts at $5,000 for a basic app. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.
What is the difference between a mobile app and a web application?
A web application runs in a browser and is accessed through a URL. A mobile app is installed directly on a phone from the App Store or Google Play, and can use native device features like push notifications and camera access that a browser cannot. Some businesses need one, some need both. We can discuss which makes sense for your business during a free consultation.
How much does a mobile app cost?
Basic mobile apps start at $5,000, standard apps with device features and backend integration start at $8,500, and complex multi-user apps start at $15,000 and are scoped individually. Every project gets a free consultation and an exact quote before any work begins.
